Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention concerns a method for supplying electric power to a network using an alternating current generator associated with a turbine via a transformer (reactance XT). The invention is characterised in that it consists in assessing the generator as precisely as possible based on the site requirements by lowering its nominal voltage to a maximum low while continuing to satisfy the capacity of the generator to export its active power delivered by the turbine and the reactive power corresponding to said active power demanded by a consumer or operator of the network.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 25, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 25, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 25, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
