An electrical plug connector (1) includes two separate modules one of which , is an electrical contact module (2) that plugs into the housing (4) and the , other of which is a printed circuit board (3) that is secured to the housing upon insertion. The contacts (10) of the electrical contact module being arranged to engage terminals (29) of the printed circuit board upon insertion of the respective modules into the connector housing.
