An electron gun for use in focusing a plurality of electron beams on a screen of a color cathode ray tube in which the electron beams are aligned in an in-line array and are deflected across the screen by an asymmetric magnetic field which causes astigmatism of the electron beams. The electron gun comprises first and third electrodes, each adapted to receive a common dynamic voltage, and each having for each beam a horizontallyextending opening through which the electron beam passes. A second electrode between the first and third electrodes is adapted to receive a fixed voltage and has an aperture for each beam. When excited, the first second and third, electrodes cooperate to establish …

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 10, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 10, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 10, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
