A system for promoting and advertising on-line charitable donations is disclosed. The system includes a donation management server and a plurality of web sites. The donation management server hosts one or more donation campaigns. A web page on each web site includes an indicia representing one of the charitable donation campaigns. The indicia may include a numerical subindicia which indicates the total value of donations made to the campaign. The total value is dynamically updated each time the indicia is displayed.
