The invention concerns an oscillator comprising a dielectric resonator (1) coupled to a load impedance (2) through an amplifying active element (3). The dielectric resonator (1) consists of a ceramic material (4) with ferroelectric properties arranged between two metallised surfaces (5 6) and polarised by an electric field generated by a difference of potential applied between the two surfaces (5 6) depending of the tuning frequency of the oscillator. The invention is applicable to radio transmitters/receivers.

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 4, 2000. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 4, 2020.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 4, 2022.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
