A panel hinge system for the joining, of two panels is disclosed. More specifically, the panel hinge system permits two panels to remain butted to each other such that the, edges of the two panels are in constant contact but without any direct , material connection at their virtex. The panel hinge system has a hinge consisting of a series of levers pinned, into a double parallelogram such that there is no pin at the spatial fulcrum point where the, panels are butted together. The double parallelogram ensures that the two panels revolve, around and remain in contact with the spatial fulcrum. Therefore two panels , can assume, an angle of 180 degrees or less without a visible seam or gap.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 29, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 29, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 29, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
