The invention relates to a method for interferometrical radar measurement in a helicopter equipped with (heli radar). Said helicopter operates according to the ROSAR principle. Sensors of the ROSAR system are mounted on a rotating turnstile. Two coherent reception antennas with reception channels are assigned to one of said sensors. The path distance (.DELTA.R) between the two distances (R+.DELTA.R, R) and the point under consideration (P) is calculated from the wavelength (.lambda.) of the emitted radar signal and of the measured phase difference of the received echo of both coherent reception channels using a known method.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 22, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 22, 2019.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 22, 2021.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
