Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention consists of a flexible and movable tie to pull two corn seeders one behind the other in order to reduce by half the precious time required to seed a field. Standard seeders are conceived to be set at pre-fixed rows depending on the crop being seeded. The invention Agri-Hitch will allow to circumvent this difficulty by towing a second seeder behind the first one that will dig small furrows for sowing the seeds at different lateral spaces from the first seeder. The invention Agri-Hitch would be adaptable to the majority of corn seeders currently on the market.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 5, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 5, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 5, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
