A method and apparatus are provided for applying a sheet material over an object, such as a load on a flatbed trailer. The apparatus is adapted to be mounted, onto a forklift. The apparatus includes a framework having a tray portion and , a, plurality of first rollers rotatably coupled to the tray portion. The apparatus further, includes a drive system for automatically rotating the plurality of first rollers in both, clockwise and counterclockwise directions to load the sheet material onto and out of, the tray portion.
