Abstract From the Canadian patent

Cellular sensitivity to DNA damaging agents and progression through cell cycle is modulated through manipulation of T cell protein tyrosine phosphatase (TC-PTP) activity. Phenotypic characterization of cells lacking TG-PTP demonstrates a defective progression through the cell cycle, and sensitivity to DNA damaging agents. Screening assays are provided for selecting agents that affect the activity of TC-PTP, including assays relating to the interaction of TC-PTP with its substrate, p62d.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 10, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 10, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 10, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
