Stackable and nestable ice cube trays are disclosed which produce ice, similar in shape to normal ice cubes. The stacking and nesting feature is made possible by providing arcs transverse of the tray. The arrangement of freezing compartments with arc shaped front and rear surfaces allows substantial nesting of the trays for storage packaging, shipment, and sale, and allows stacking of the trays when they are used to produce ice in a freezer.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 20, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 20, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 20, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
