Embodiments of this invention include the design of highly compact Mach- Zehnder, interferometers and the resulting optics filters and DWDM wavelength interleavers by planar, waveguide technology rendering ai highly compact characterictic-footprint even for highly, asymmetrical design configurations. Such highly compact footprint makes the resulting, devices and circuits amenable to large scale integration with minimum integrated optics, wafer occupancy.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 15, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 15, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 15, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
