A fully automated telescope system (10) is able to be fully operable in both Alt-Az and polar configurations. In either configuration the telescope (10) , aligns itself to the celestial coordinate system following a simplified initialization procedure during which the telescope tube (12) is first pointed north and then pointed towards a user's horizon. A command processor (36) under application software program control orients the telescope system (10) with respect to the celestial coordinate system given the initial directional inputs. Why it's free to use
- Filed October 26, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 26, 2019.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 26, 2021.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
