The present invention provides improved artificial blood fluids. In accordance with preferred embodiments, artificial blood fluids with synthetic or natural oxygen carrying compounds are improved through the inclusion of small amounts of blood soluble microflow drag reducing factors. Physiologically acceptable carriers are preferred as those having a polyethylene glycol adjuvant. The concentration of microflow drag reducing factor is from about 0.1 ppm to about 10,000 ppm by weight of the blood fluid. Certain embodiments feature the employment of certain third and fourth generation dendritic polymers to improve emulsification of artificial blood fluids.

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 9, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 9, 2019.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 9, 2021.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
