Abstract From the Canadian patent

COS, and/or CS2 is contacted, in the presence of oxygen with a vanadium, oxide supported catalyst using one or more of a variety of different metal oxide, supports, preferably selected from the group consisting of zirconia (ZrO2) ceria, (CeO2), niobia (Nb2O5), silica (SiO2) and alumina (Al2O3) to selectively , oxidize, these organic sulfur compounds to CO and SO2.
