Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a highly flexible electrically conductive layer material containing non-metal powder, especially carbon as conductive , component and to a method for the production thereof. Low-specific electrical resistance, high mechanical stability and flexibility can be obtained while using cost-effective materials and a simple production method. According to the invention, the layer material is characterized in that the contact points between the conductive non-metal particles are well defined and in that coatings of binding polymers are avoided. This is achieved in that the contact points are formed before adding the essential binder by pressing or rolling. The binder …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 9, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 9, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 9, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
