Abstract From the Canadian patent

A separator plate (10) is provided for use in a fuel cell stack having a fuel , gas flow field (21) adjacent one surface and an oxidant gas flow field adjacent the other surface. The fuel cells in the stack are advantageously PEMtype fuel cells having undulate membrane electrode assemblies. The flowpaths of the flow fields comprise parallel flow channels extending longitudinally and interconnected at their ends to form the flowpaths. The interconnections are formed by an array of spaced interconnection couplings (12 14), that may , be depressed cavities in the separator plates. The couplings for the oxidant gas flow channels are offset from those for the fuel flow channels. The …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 1, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 1, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 1, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
