Gene therapy, for example requires successful , transfection of target cells in a patient. The present invention relates to novel micellar complexes of cationic amphiphilic compounds that facilitate delivery of biologically active molecules to the targeted cells of a mammal. The novel micellar complexes are comprised of a cationic amphiphile a , biologically active molecule, a derivative of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and , optionally, a co-lipid. A further aspect of the invention is the use of targeting absents in any of …

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 18, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 18, 2019.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 18, 2021.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
