Abstract From the Canadian patent

A synchronization establishing apparatus in a spectrum spread communication system includes a search section (100, 200, 7, 10), a frequency offset estimating section (11) and a demodulation path selecting section (12). The search section (100 200, 7, 10) calculates correlation values from a received spectrum spread signal, and calculates power values as addition values of symbols corresponding to the correlation values and power addition values of the power values. Also, the search section selects larger ones of the power addition values to output together with timing data corresponding to the selected larger power addition values. At this time, one of the symbols and the power values being …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 8, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 8, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 8, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
