The invention is particularly related to the problems of dispersing fiber to obtain a uniform distribution. The invention includes tapered ducts (217) oriented at an appropriate angle (10~) relative to the horizontal for redirecting and decreasing the speed of an air stream (15) containing fiber therein such that the fiber precipitates from the air stream and falls gently to form a uniform fiber bed in a bin (40).

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 27, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 27, 2019.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 27, 2021.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
