A radio interference detection and screening system for onlocomotive testing of Locomotive Control Unit (LCU) radios. To eliminate bit errors during LCU sensitivity performance testing (also known as Bit Error Rate (BER) testing), the system of the present invention detects interfering transmission signals which may cause such bit errors and suspends the LCU sensitivity performance testing during the periods of such detected interfering transmissions. Once the interfering transmissions are no longer detected by the system of the present invention the LCU then, resumes the LCU sensitivity performance testing.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 23, 2000. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 23, 2020.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 23, 2022.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
