A connector comprises a housing of insulating material. The housing has a mounting surface provided with a plurality of grooves. Each groove has a groove entrance directed away from the mounting surface. A metal connection element is mounted in each groove by clamping. The connection element is accessible through the groove entrance. The metal connection elements can be made as solid rods or preferably as hollow tubes. In this case the tubes may have a longitudinal slot connecting the hollow inner side of the tube with the environment wherein the slot is directed away from the mounting surface of the housing.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 14, 2000. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 14, 2020.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 14, 2022.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
