A spring device for door handle furniture. The device includes a housing (11) and a rotatable element (12) mounted with the housing. The rotatable element (12) has an opening (30) to couple with a drive bar of a handle mechanism. A coil spring (13) is engaged between the housing (11) and the rotatable element (12) to apply a pre-set to the rotatable element (12).
