Abstract From the Canadian patent

An amplifier (1220, 1220a, 12206) having an adjustable current source (1580) which can be controlled to provide the requisite level of performance at reduced current consumption. The amplifier is first designed using one of many designs available and known in the art. A current source is then designed to provide adjustable bias current for the amplifier. The current source (1580) can be designed with MOSFETs (1582, 1584) which require no additional bias current and can accept a standard digital control signal. The current source (1580) can also be designed with active devices which are selected based on the logic of the control signals for ease of interface. The bias current …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 4, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 4, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 4, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
