Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for the solid-phase synthesis of combinatorial libraries on a onedimensional support, such as a thread, is provided. The method involves the cyclic permutation of structural features along the thread in such a way that , different structural features are repeated at a characteristic fixed frequencies along the thread. The thread is processed so as to generate a signal proportional to the activity of the compounds in the library and the , thread is then assayed by being drawn through an appropriate detector. The resulting time-domain signal is processed by Fourier transformation. Spikes in the frequency domain of the processed signal indicate the frequency at which structural …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 19, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 19, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 19, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
