Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a method for dehydrating clarification sludge in which an acidic oxidative preconditioning is combined with an inorganic subsequent conditioning whereby the preconditioning , involves an acidification of the clarification sludge and a catalytic partial oxidation by adding a hypostoichiometric quantity of hydrogen peroxide and iron ions at a pH-value ~5. Afterwards an inorganic, subsequent conditioning is carried out in which the acidified and partially oxidized clarification sludge is laced with alkaline earth. During the inorganic subsequent conditioning, enough calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) is added such that the pH-value of the limed clarification sludge ranges …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 12, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 12, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 12, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
