A full-length cDNA encoding a rat G protein conjugate type receptor protein which is isolated by screening cDNA libraries originating in rat thalamus and hypothalamus; and human cDNA corresponding to the above rat cDNA. Use of these G protein conjugate type receptor proteins makes it possible to screen ligands and to screen compounds which are candidates for drugs capable of regulating signal transduction from receptors.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 25, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 25, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 25, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
