Abstract From the Canadian patent

An adaptive antenna transmitter receiver chain (100) comprises a "dummy" interference addition unit (122) for generating far field radiation patterns which are added to the far field radiation pattern of an interfering signal. The resultant pattern is processed by a beamforming unit so as to calculate a set of antenna weights corresponding to a far field radiation pattern having a plurality of points convergent upon a region of the far field radiation pattern.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 24, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 24, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 24, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
