Abstract From the Canadian patent

The articles (A) advance along a conveyor line (1) in which there is a drop in level (2) of a height correlated with the height of the stacks of articles (A) to be formed. Downstream of the drop in level there are stop means (5) which can selectively interrupt the advancing movement of the articles (A) along, the conveyor line. For each stack of articles (A) formed, the stop means (5) prevent the advancing movement of at least a first article downstream of the drop in level (2) so as to allow at least a second article (A) to fall and to be stacked on the first article (A). Upon completion of the stack, the stacked articles (A) are allowed to advance along the conveyor line (1) again.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 10, 2000. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 10, 2020.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 10, 2022.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
