Abstract From the Canadian patent

A tensioning device for lace fastenings particularly for sports shoes, is described comprising a, lever associated with the lace fastening for tensioning the latter, and with which there is in turn associated a lace-constricting device. The lace-constricting device is capable of engaging at least one end of the lace for retaining the latter in a first state of tension of the fastening, while the final state of tension is obtained by the action of the lever.
