Abstract From the Canadian patent

A silica-supported metallocene catalyst made from two components is disclosed. The first component is made from dried silica having hydroxyl groups and an alumoxane scurried together and then dried of its solvent. The second component is made by contacting a group 4 metallocene and a trialkylaluminum in a solvent in which the metallocene is insoluble. The two components are then combined to form the metallocene catalyst.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 1, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 1, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 1, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
