This invention concerns an external operation device and makes it possible to conduct communication at a faster rate than previously. The operation means is connected to the operation object via an optical fiber and by converting the electrical signals of the transmission object to optical signals during communication and transmitting said optical signals via optical fibers even , if the frequency is high, no electromagnetic-wave noise is generated as happens when the operation means is connected to the operation object via electrically conductive wires. Thus there is no need to limit the frequency of the optical signals, that is, the communication speed and therefore , communication …

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 17, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 17, 2019.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 17, 2021.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
