A modulation circuit (10) converts input data in a symbol generator (100) to M symbol values which are converted in in-phase and quadrature phase generators (200, 250) to M in-phase and M quadrature phase time domain samples which are combined in a modulator (290) to generate a single-sideband modulated signal. The in-phase and quadrature phase generators (200 250) include transform , circuits (210 310) and polyphase filters (220, 320). A demodulator (400) includes a memory (402) for storing the 2M most recently received time-domain values, a polyphase filter bank (404), a polyphase processor (406) and a transform circuit (408).

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 17, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 17, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 17, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
