Abstract From the Canadian patent

In one aspect, the invention provides a method of nucleic acid analysis for providing, information on the relative copy numbers of target sequences in the nucleic acid population. A nucleic acid population is provided that includes at least two target sequences. Probes for, the target sequences are provided and the probes are labelled. The probes are mixed with the, population of nucleic acids under selected hybridisation conditions allowing , the probes to, hybridise to the target sequences. The relative amounts the probes that are hybridised to the, target sequences is detected to provide information that is indicative of the relative copy, numbers of the target sequences in the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 10, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 10, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 10, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
