This invention relates to a film comprising: (1) a Surface Friction Modifying Additive; and (2) at least one surface layer comprising mPE wherein the mPE , is a homopolymer of ethylene or a copolymer of ethylene and a C3 to C20 olefin (preferably octene or hexene) having an Mw/Mn of 4 or less and a CDBI of 50 % , or more, wherein at least one surface layer of mPE is treated by corona discharge and thereafter there is at least a 20-60 % increase in the coefficient of friction of the treated mPE surface layer as compared to the COF prior to corona discharge treatment when tested according to ASTMD-1894 after seven days of storage 23 ~C and 50 % relative humidity and the COF of the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 24, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 24, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 24, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
