A power supply controlling integrated circuit device which is provided with input terminals for detection at which the voltages of batteries respectively appear, comparing means which respectively compare the voltages of the batteries with a prescribed reference voltage and a mode terminal for , inputting signals for designating the number of batteries so as to control the discharging or charging of each battery based on the output of the corresponding comparing means.
