Abstract From the Canadian patent

A fluid treatment assembly includes first and second fluid treatment elements. The elements can be detachably sealed to each other in a nested relationship to allow a fluid to be passed through the elements in sequence. The assembly may include a retainer detachably connected to one of the elements and restricting lengthwise movement of the elements with respect to each other to prevent the elements from becoming unsealed from each other during operation of the assembly.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 23, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 23, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 23, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
