The Process can also, be used as an aid in the separation and recovery of bituminous materials from both Oil l Tar Sands that bear connated and non-connated water. The Process can, be further used in the removal, from hard surfaces of natural and synthetic , waxes, such as polishing and anti - stick silicones. The application of such an invention, is shown to have value in the processes of 1) in situ and ex situ Oil/Tar Sand bitumen recovery, 2) bitumen viscosity reduction for transport 3) the , unclogging, of paraffin (and/ or kerogen) blocked …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 13, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 13, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 13, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
