Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method and device is described for the numeric control of buffer and phase-locked loop for the recovery of the synchronism and the optimized management, over communication networks having a high jitter like e.g. networks in which , the, ATM mode (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) is used. The innovation resides in the buffer management which is carried out according to the input phase statistic characteristics (in part known a priori and in part measured by the system) as well, as to its measured value (which is equivalent to the buffer filling level) thus, introducing the concept of statistic pointers. This allows an optimal management, thereof and also permits to control the buffer …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 25, 1999. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 25, 2019.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 25, 2021.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
