The invention concerns a flush mounted metal or plastic box having its own fixing system adapted to the function required by the user in particular in the building sector as complement or component in any electrical or non-electrical unit (appliance) to be flush mounted or already flush mounted. Said box is characterised in that it has an integrated metal angle type edge perfectly suited to walls with gypsum surface and a shape which enables it to be permanently fixed before being coated mainly with a jointing compound. Such a system of flush mounting is novel and an improvement over existing systems.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 28, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 28, 2018.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 28, 2020.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
