Abstract From the Canadian patent

In a subscriber line interface circuit means are adapted to apply to a line , (1 2), associated with the line interface circuit an essentially constant , line current (IL) of a first predetermined value (IL1) for line voltages (UL) up to a first voltage (UL1) having an absolute value which by a predetermined , amount, is lower than the supply voltage (VBAT) of the line interface circuit. For line voltages (UL) between the first voltage (UL1) and a second voltage (UL2') having an absolute value which, by a predetermined amount is higher , than the first voltage (UL1) means are adapted to apply to the line a line , current (IL) which is inversely proportional to the line voltage (UL) and …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 6, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 6, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 6, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
