Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention concerns powdery, thermally unstable thermoplastic shaping compounds which are to be processed to form semi-finished products or shaped parts such that thermal decomposition processes are prevented and the semifinished products and shaped parts display a high level of mechanical properties. To that end, the powdery thermoplastic shaping compound which is , precompressed under hydrostatic pressure is exposed to a deviatoric stress , below its melting temperature.
