Abstract From the Canadian patent

A solid polymer electrolyte composite for an electrochemical reaction apparatus that possesses satisfactory ion conduction properties and has excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance is provided. The solid , polymer electrolyte composite is characterized in that a solid polymer electrolyte is contained in the continuous pores of an expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene sheet which has continuous pores and in which the inner surfaces defining the pores are covered with a functional material such as a metal oxide. An electrochemical reaction apparatus containing an electrolyte, wherein said electrochemical reaction apparatus is characterized in that the aforementioned solid …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 12, 1997 and granted June 11, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 12, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 12, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
