A process and device (24) for triggering a measurement process for evaluating the quality of audio and/or speech signals enable field measurements to be carried out to determine the quality of a digital transmission. During a first step, digital values of a reference signal underlying at least part of a test signal whose quality is to be evaluated are stored. Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 21, 1997 and granted February 29, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 21, 2017.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 21, 2019.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
