Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention concerns a component with surface acoustic waves including a substrate made of piezoelectric and pyroelectric material with electric conductivity sigma o comprising on one of its surface an electroacoustic transducer connected to an input (E) an output (S) and an earth connection (PM) said material having an electric polarisation P. The invention is characterised in that the surface of the planes perpendicular to the polarisation P have an electric conductivity sigma o and are connected to the earth (PM) so as to enable the current sink of pyroelectric charges occurring during the operation of the electroacoustic transducer. The invention is applicable in telecommunication …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 5, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 5, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 5, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
