Abstract From the Canadian patent

A power supply system particularly adapted for use with an electrostatic precipitator to provide substantially ripple-free DC power for improved precipitator operation. The power supply is adapted to receive three-phase AC power and to transform the AC power into high voltage DC power having a minimum of voltage ripple in the output. The power supply includes a multiphase transformer having three primary windings each of the primary windings , having associated with it a pair of secondary windings. The primary windings can be either delta connected or wye connected. One of each of the secondary windings associated with one of the respective primary windings is connected together in a …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 19, 1996 and granted June 12, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 19, 2016.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 19, 2018.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
