Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method of enclosing a top of a bathing enclosure. A first step involves providing a heat mouldable polymer plastic panel having a first face and a second face. A second step involves making a linear cut through the first face of the panel to form a fold line. A third step involves heating the second face of the panel while bending the panel along the fold line to form a desired shape. A fourth step involves securing an edge of the panel along a top periphery of a bathing enclosure that extends from a wall. A fifth step involves leaning the panel at an angle of at least 20 degrees against the wall.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 24, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 24, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 24, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
