Herein described are radiolabelled compounds and their precursors useful to image D4 receptors in vivo, of formula (I) wherein R is selected from iodo tri(loweralkyl)tin and a radioisotopically labelled iodide and R1 is selected from H and alkoxycarbonyl, with the proviso that R is not iodo when R1 is H. The radiopharmaceutical compounds are useful particularly to image localization of D4 receptor in the human brain and can therefore aid in the , diagnosis of schizophrenia and other medical conditions in which the D4 receptor is implicated.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 20, 1997. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 20, 2017.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 20, 2019.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
