Abstract From the Canadian patent

In the method and the apparatus for the examination of shock absorbers installed on a vehicle a vibratory platform, on, which one wheel of the vehicle is stood and which may be reciprocated with a suitable amplitude and variable frequency in a vertical, is employed to subject the wheel to an oscillation. The damping of the shock absorber is checked from the force response of the running gear to the oscillations of the vibratory platform and the relative phase function between the force exerted by the vibratory platform and the motion of the vibratory platform. The data signal, which represents the variations with time of the force response at a target frequency is split by a, …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 8, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 8, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 8, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
