Abstract From the Canadian patent

In a process for the encapsulation of microbial vegetable and, animal cells or biological and chemical substances through a nozzle into small, substantially spherical particles by vibration of an immobilization mixture, the latter is divided into equal-sized fractions by the superimposition of an external vibration. The vibration - preferably in the range of between 300 and 4000 Hz - is transmitted to the immobilization mixture within a pulsation space, possibly by way of the nozzle which is caused to pulsate.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 26, 1998. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 26, 2018.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 26, 2020.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
